Ready set go! Let’s get to know Ashley, founder of East End Wellness.
What inspired you to start East End Wellness?
I have always wanted to start my own business, and I wanted to make sure I did something I loved. I wanted to be able to help women, mothers or not to be able to find the best versions of themself. The Restore Your Core program is made to help women re-establish their breathing, movement, and exercises to provide a stable core for their body.
You are a full-time, stay-at-home mom to 2 kids.. What’s your secret survival tactic?
I have to workout everyday! Whether it's walking, running, doing 10 pushups, any form of fitness in the morning gives me my energy and helps my overall persona each day.
And, dare we ask, what were your go-to exercises pre- and post-natal?
Barre and pilates classes saved me during and after pregnancies. You do not realize how strong women are until you give birth and I found both barre and pilates classes really balanced my body and enabled me to become stronger and heal my body after.
What does wellness mean to you?
Taking care of yourself, in any form…..working out, getting a massage, talking to a girlfriend.
What do you love most about living in the Hamptons?
The outdoors, everywhere you look you are surrounded by a beautiful landscape and it gives you an energy to be active and appreciate life.
What’s your absolute favorite workout?
I love bootcamps. Running and strength are my go to exercises.
What’s your go-to beauty hack?
Wash your face every night and moisturize!
What is a kitchen appliance that you could not live without?
My french press. As much as working out gives me energy, I still need my decaf coffee every morning.
What is your ultimate health and wellness indulgence?
A spa day with my girlfriends. Being able to workout, be pampered, and hang around my girlfriends is my ideal wellness indulgence.
What is the most underrated fruit or vegetable?
Banana peppers. I love any sort of pepper, but banana peppers are so delicious and a great source of fiber and vitamin E
